You’ve probably had your Wedding Place in your mind since were a little girl, likely starting off as a fairy tale castle, and becoming more realistic the older you grew. The fairy tale castle is not impossible, but is more likely to be a place such as a church, beach or even your backyard.

It is frequently a dilemma for a young woman (or old for that matter since marriage is not just for the young) whether to put aside the bulk of her budget for the Wedding Place and reception venue, for her dress or for the honeymoon. There are other aspects of the wedding that can be expensive, but these are the main three that immediately come to mind to any bride with a wedding to arrange. Most brides have to work to a budget, especially in these days of spiraling wedding costs when imported dresses especially are become much more expensive due to unfavorable exchange rates.

Wedding Place - tradition

Most tradition weddings take place in a church, temple or whatever Wedding Place of worship or marriage is normal for your religion. Most receptions take place in halls or hotels, again in accordance with tradition. However, you might have something in mind that breaks with normal tradition, even though it is not unusual for the area you live in. A relatively inexpensive reception in an unusual location can more than make up for any budgeting needed.

A typical example of that is a beach wedding. A beach is a great Wedding Place to married on, particularly if the ceremony itself is not right on the beach itself, but perhaps on a cliff top or in a gazebo, where you are protected from the heat of the sun. If this is followed by a beach reception, then you have the best of both. There is a lot to be said for a beach wedding and reception, especially just at sundown with a beautiful sunset painting a canvas that no photographer could fail to convert into a complete work of art for your wedding photographs.

Wedding Place - choices

Alternatively, perhaps your dream Wedding Place is a historical site, such as San Antonio with a reception at the Alamo Café, or even in the Empire State Building, now open for wedding business again. Now that you have grown up, you might find a golf club more to your liking, and there are many clubs that will open its doors to you for your wedding, member or not. You might even be able to fit a round in after the ceremony!

If you like the idea of an open air Wedding Place, why not get married at home? Have the ceremony in your backyard, beautifully decorated, and then have a barbecue afterwards with loads of beers, wine and champagne. That will be enough to keep most guests happy! There is something about open air eating that not only breaks the ice but tastes a lot better than normal.

Wedding Place - availability

Whatever your dream place for a wedding is, you have to check your budget and then have a look at what is available in your locality. Although it might be tempting to get married out of state, or even abroad, you have to think of your guests. If that means that you cannot have your dream Wedding Place, then at least have your dream honeymoon, and spend a bit less on the dress and the reception. That’s assuming that you have a strict budget, because to some lucky girls money is no object.

Wedding Place - expenses

However, even if you are like most of us and have to be careful what you spend on your Wedding Place, also keep in mind that it is your wedding day, and it should be as good as you can make it. You have the big three expenses to keep in mind and you can juggle them to satisfy your own wishes. Spend a bit less on the dress that you will only wear once, and more on the honeymoon that you will remember forever. Or perhaps it is the reception that is your priority. Some lucky brides can combine their honeymoon with their reception if they live in the right locality.

Get married at Disneyland or Disney World, have your reception there, than stay on for your honeymoon: a fairy tale wedding and reception followed by a fairy tale honeymoon. What better fairy tale story for a bride who refuses to grow up until she has had her fairy tale wedding!
